Temporary tattoos, made with love.

We’re (almost) back!

Hi, I’m Jo! In 2020, together with my kids, I started Tatú Doodles – tattoo sheets with different themes: dinosaurs, space, Halloween... all things kids enjoy. My full-time career as a designer and illustrator made this really easy. After hitting pause for a couple years, we’re back and dropping a new collection this summer. We can’t wait to share our new designs (and adventures) with you.

About Tatú Doodles

joanna ambrosio, founder of tatú doodles

Hi, I'm Jo! I'm an illustrator, art educator, brand specialist and mom to two kids: they’re my biggest inspiration.

When my (then) preschooler and toddler first became obsessed with temporary tattoos in 2020, everything we found was low quality, looked mass-produced, and didn’t last long. So we decided to do something about it. Because I’ve spent more than twenty years designing and branding (mostly for tech companies), this was a fun side project: a different way to stay creative and connect with my kids. My tiny art directors and I created our first collection: hand-drawn, imperfect, and made with lots of love. After a while, this side project became an actual business! Tatú Doodles was a family effort, with every order including a handwritten note, glitter, and coupon cards...little touches making things extra-special so every customer could feel our love. After going quiet for a couple of years to process some big family changes, I wasn't sure if Tatú would even come back. But something magical happened. During that time, I got to slow down and explore creativity in ways I hadn't been able to do for years (a full-time job in tech has a way of doing that): teaching art workshops for kids and parents, making things with my hands again, and remembering my place in the creative world. So now with older kids and the same amount of love we’ve always had, our family is thrilled to share our creative efforts with the world again. And as such, here’s our art statement—in the form of a Tatú Doodle. What is “Tatú Doodles?” The word "Tatú" is Spanish for "tattoo" (I'm Mexican), and the word "doodles" because these will never be perfect—they're meant to be playful, joyful, and real.We can’t wait to share more with you. Thanks for being here.— JoP.S. Please consider joining our mailing list, so you’re first to know about every new collection. (No spam, just updates, for real.)
